Where Local Leadership meets Lasting Impact
Pepal Tanzania is a registered charity and part of Pepal UK, delivering social impact work in the Kagera region of Northwest Tanzania. Since 2015, we have worked at the intersection of business, government, and civil society - bringing partners together to address complex challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.
We believe that sustainable impact comes from strengthening systems and enabling communities to lead their own change.
Our work focuses on unlocking the role of business in society, supporting companies to engage meaningfully in social impact while partnering with government and NGOs to deliver solutions that are practical, scalable, and rooted in local context.
Over the past decade, our programmes have contributed to measurable change, reflecting the power of collaboration and locally driven solutions.
• 1,000+ individuals trained in leadership and innovation
• Thousands of girls vaccinated against HPV
• Thousands of women screened for cervical cancer
• Multiple social enterprises supported to reach full financial sustainability
Across all our work, one insight has remained clear - building economic power is key to solving local challenges and sustaining impact. We design programmes that strengthen leadership, unlock opportunity, and enable communities to shape their own futures—ensuring that impact is not only achieved, but sustained.
